Khusyu in Prayers

Hudzaifah ibnul Yaman radhiyallahu 'anhu says, "The first thing that will disappear from your religion is khusyu', and the last thing that will be lost is prayer ... How many people who pray but no good, almost you enter the mosque and do not meet a person Even the khusyu '.. "(Madarijus Salikin: 1/521 Ibnul Qayyim)

From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu:

"One day Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam entered the mosque, then someone entered the mosque and prayer, then came and greetings to the Messenger of Allah, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam answered his regards, then said," Back and pray, because sesugguhnya you have not prayed! '. "

(Abu Hurayrah said), "Then the man returned (to the place of prayer) and prayed as before, then returned to the Prophet and greet him, then the Messenger of Allah said to him, 'Alaikassalam.' Then, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, "Come back (to your prayer place), because you have not prayed yet!"

Until the man did it three times, then said, "By Allah who sent you by bringing the truth, I can not do any prayer other than this, so teach me!"

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, "If you want to pray, then air-takbirlah, and then read a letter from your Qur'an easy to memorize, then ruku'-lah until you calm in a position bowing, then lift (head) until you calm in a standing position, then prostrate until you calm was the one in prostration, then sit-lah until you calm in a sitting position, then do it like this in the prayer-you all! "[HR. Abu Dawud, no. 856]

A number of earlier scholars explained that 'Khusyu' 'within the meaning of prayer,' as-sukunu FIHA ', ie quiet in prayer. Khusyu 'not only in the heart, but also in the body. Thus, the person who is khusyu 'is the person who is calm and limb when praying. Or, in other words people who are khusyu 'is the person who is able to present his heart in the prayer. With the presence of the heart, then the limbs are calm. [Taudhihul Ahkam (1/453)]

Allah Ta'ala, said:

"Verily, the hypocrites want to deceive Allah, but Allah is deceiving them. When they stand up to pray, they do with laziness. They intend riya (want to be praised) in the presence of men. And they do not remember Allah but little." (Surah An-Nisa '4: Verse 142)

Ibnu Katsir rahimahullah said in his commentary, "The point is: in prayer they are not humility ', do not understand what they say (of the readings for the prayer), even they are negligent in his prayer and not serious and they turn away (not interested) to kindness Promised them. "
